Asia Session Explained

The Asia session is the first major overnight handoff, where ES and NQ begin building the range later sessions inherit.

The Asia session is the first major regional window in the overnight futures day. ES and NQ can absorb local equity, currency, rates, and macro information while SPY and QQQ are closed.

The resulting range may be quiet, directional, or quickly reversed by London. Its value is that it creates the first map of the overnight auction, not that it predicts the US open.

Compare the Asia range with the London session and the eventual US handoff.
